Composition and Interpretation

This assignment is the first composition problem in my Design I class at TC3. The students start with line studies in different formats. They add value and color to allow for more variations in shape.
To interpret the compositions, a list of words is introduced. The students search for compositions that will correspond to the word description and then create a final formal presentation.
In critique, we see how the designs show a common visual interpretation.
